According to experts, one in six dogs is allergic to different elements such as flowers, dust, mites, mold, pollen, etc., something that has a great presence when spring arrives and also at the beginning of summer.

To know if our pet is allergic it is important to control their behavior. If it is allergic, it will lick quite often and will also scratch itself. In severe cases it can even nibble the affected area. Normally, symptoms usually manifest when the animals are young, from about 2 years old.

The irritation that occurs in the skin can be so marked that the animal can bite a lot, worsening the situation. The itching and pruritus appear in certain areas of the animal such as the abdomen, inner part of the thighs, perineal area, armpits and ears, among others.

Other symptoms can be allergic dermatitis, mucus, repeated sneezing, constant watering, etc. If the allergy is severe you may have asthma, breathing problems or even episodes of loss of consciousness, which means that you have to take your pet to the veterinarian.
